This job covers key programming on a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe using the Autel MaxiIM IM508S, done through smart key learning with security code input and push-button confirmation.
It works for adding keys or completing AKL-style procedures where access is already available.
Vehicle Setup & System Access
- Power on Autel IM508S and go to manual vehicle selection.
- Select IMMO → Hyundai → Manual Selection → America → SANTAFE hybrid(MX5A HEV) → 2024- Smart Key → Yes → Control Unit → Keyless System → Smart Key Learning → Remote control learning → Smart key learning
Security Code Input & Start Learning
- Press Start → OK to continue.
- Turn the ignition off(note: the instrument screen is black). Open and then close the driver door once!
- When prompted, input the security code.
- Confirm and proceed once the system accepts the code.
First Key Programming
- Place the first smart key near the push-start area.
- Follow prompt and press OK → key sensing confirmation → YES.
- Press and hold the push start button as instructed until programming completes.
- System shows programming succeeded for key 1.
Second Key Registration
- Select YES to continue adding another key.
- Repeat confirmation steps with the second key.
- Press push start again when prompted.
- System confirms 2 keys learned successfully.
Verification
Keep the MaxiIM IM508S software fully updated before starting this job.
On older versions, the MX5A path may be missing or the smart key learning menu may not load correctly.
