OTOFIX IM2 Adds 2019 GMC Arcadia Smart Key Success Review

Today I'm gonna use the OTOFIX IM2 Key Programming Tool to add a new smart key for 2019 GMC Arcadia by OBD. The OTOFIX software looks just like the Autel. As the affordable alternative of Autel IM608 PRO2, does it really work as well as IM608? Next, I'll try to give a review.

Here I have a brand new key and original key at hand.

Connect OTOFIX IM2 to OBD port.

After finishing car identify and Immo Status Scan , continue to read the password.

Once you read the password, OTOFIX will automatically save it.

Here we can select "Password Reading" first or "Add Smart Key" directly, no effects. As OTOFIX is quite smart.

Add Smart Key >> Start

Do you want to start PIN reading?

(Press No if the PIN of the current vehicle has been read and saved)

Do you want to start the DTC clearing process? Yes

Do you want to start the key learning process? Yes

Please press the Start/Stop button once.

Place the smart key to be learned into the key slot and take other keys out of the vehicle.

The key slot is usually:

1. In the armrest box.

2. Under the bottle rack.

3. Besides the ash tray.

4. In the glove box.

Please input 4-digit pin code: 1935

(OTOFIX will automatically input)

Please switch the ignition off.

Configuring the system, please wait...

Please press the Start/Stop button once.

The current key is complete the matching.

Do you want to match the next key? Press No to complete.

Please switch the ignition off.

Depress and hold the brake pedal, press the Start/Stop button to start the engine and wait for 5s...

Please switch the ignition off.

Notes:

1. Stop the engine.

2. Open and close the driver door.

3. Remove the smart key, press the Lock and Unlock buttons at the same time, and then release both.

Is there another key to be synchronized? No

Let's test the new key.

Alright, everything looks good, it can normally work.

So, we have successfully programmed the new key.

You can also do manual key adding procedure if having the key blade. You'll need to insert the key for couple times and do a bunch of steps. That should take a lot of time. But with the OTOFIX scanner, it's a lot faster and takes less time.
