Autel IM508S Adds 2011 BENZ ML280/300 MLB Key by OBD

Today I'm gonna show how to add 2009-2011 Mercedes-Benz ML280/300 MLB key with Autel MaxiIM IM508S by OBD. Following is the procedure.

Autel IM508S is detecting frequency. Please put the ignition key close to the programmer remote reception position and press any button of the key.

 

Please insert the ignition key into the IR keyhole on XP400 Pro Programmer, press OK

Is this ignition key a smart key? No

Please insert the blank key into the IR keyhole on XP400 Pro programmer, press OK.

Is there a key password? No

Press OK to enter password calculation process.

 

Note: After the key password is calculated, it may be required to insert and remove the ignition key for multiple times before it can start the vehicle.

 

Insert the ignition key into the EIS and wait for 5s.

 

Pull the ignition key out.

Insert the ignition key into the EIS and wait for 2s.

 

Please confirm whether the key can be turned to the ON position.

If not, please remove the key and try again until it can be turned to the ON position and click OK.

 

After pulling the ignition key out, insert it into the IR keyholw on the XP400 Pro programmer.

 

Getting password is in progress. Please wait the whole process takes about 10-30 min...

Succeeded in computing password.

Insert the ignition key into the EIS and wait for 30s...

Password calculation completed!

 

Generating key file. Please wait...

Please insert the blank key into the IR keyhole on XP400 Pro programmer, press OK.

Writing key file...

Key addition completed. After pressing OK, check if the new key can be used normally according to instructions.

 

1. Insert the new key into the EIS. If the red indicator lamp on the key lights up and goes off, the key leaning is successful.

If the red indicator lamp stays lit, try inserting and removing the key for several times. If it's still not working, the key addition failed.

 

2. Turn ignition on and check if the vehicle can be started normally. If the vehicle not started normally, the key addition failed.

 

3. Check if remote lock and unlock functions can work normally. If not, please check if its key battery can work normally.

If the key battery works normally and the remote function is still invalid, the key addtion failed.
