How to Program 2020 Nissan Altima AKL with Autel KM100?

I used the Autel MaxiIM KM100 for an all-keys-lost job on a 2020 Nissan Altima. The smart key learning function handled the key programming without issues.

Enter Smart Key Learning

  1. Go to IMMO → AutoVIN. When prompted, turn on the hazard warning lamps and open and close the driver door once. If the conditions are met, turn on the ignition.
  2. On the Autel KM100, go to Hot Function → Smart Key Learning → Start. Confirm Yes to erase all learned keys. Prepare all keys to be programmed. Up to 4 keys can be learned.
  3. Turn off the ignition. Turn on the hazard warning lamps. Open and close the driver door once. The BCM code will be read out.

Note: For some 2010–2017 models, key learning may lock up the BCM. If this happens, the BCM must be replaced before relearning the keys.

Learn the Smart Keys

  1. Place the original smart key against the ignition switch. Press the ignition switch once. Within 5 seconds, place the key to be learned against the switch with its back facing it. The instrument cluster will light up automatically.
  2. If the security lamp does not go out, immediately use the original key against the ignition switch. Turn off the ignition.
  3. When Program success appears, select Yes to program the next key. Repeat the same operation. After the last key, select No and turn off the ignition.

Finish Programming

  1. Press the start/stop button. Within 5 seconds, attach the first learned smart key to the start/stop button. The instrument cluster will light up automatically.
  2. Turn off the ignition and wait 3 seconds.

Verification

Start the engine and check the remote control. The vehicle should start and the basic functions should work normally.
