Autel IM608 PRO2 Program 2015 Lexus NX300H All Keys Lost

Can we do an all keys lost on a 2015 Lexus NX300H with Autel IM608 PRO2? The answer is yes. A client received a call to perform this job. Aware of the recent changes to the Autel software in US - specifically, the removal of key functionality for Toyota and Lexus vehicles. He was concerned that he might not be able to complete the procedure.

 

To ensure success, the client asked me to guide him through the process step by step in case any issues arose during the procedure.

 

Needed Tools

Autel IM608 II

Autel APB112

Smart Key

Step1. Identify Vehicle & Perform IMMO Status Scan

IMMO >> Manual selection >> USA >> NX300H >> 2015-2021 >> Smart key >> OK >> Immo status scan

 

Here we can check how many keys are registered.

Step2. Select Hot Function for All Keys Lost Procedure

Hot function >> All keys lost(using analog key)

Turn the hazard warning lamps on an off once, press the Start/Stop button 5 times and keep the ignition off.

Has the IMMO data of the vehicle been backed up? No

 

Ensure that the network connection of the device is good.

Turn the ignition off, and turn the hazard warning lamps on and off once.

 

Warning:

You must turn off the Bluetooth function of the device and connect VCI to diagnostic tool with USB cable, otherwise the function may fail.

 

Save the EEPROM file.

Key type: SLK3

Please connect APB112 key simulator.

Generating simulator key...

Generate analog key complete!

Note: analog key must be powered on, never cut off!

Please close the analog key to the push start(Start/Stop) button and press the start(Start/Stop) button.

If the instrument lights up successfully, click "Yes" to continue.

If the instrument fail to light up, click "No" to continue.

 

Please put the analog key close to the START button.

Put a smart key to be learned close to the START button.

Step3. Add Aftermarket Key with APB112

Add smart key >> Start

Turn on hazard warning lamps.

Notice:

Each step must be completed with the specified time.

The positions for learning include: 5

Put a learned smart key close to the START button.

Put a smart key to be learned close to the START button.

Learning failed.

 

The client said that he heard a beep and he can start the car. So I think it was registered.

Go back to the Immo Status Scan, we can see 2 keys were registered.

That means the key was successfully registered to the vehicle.

Summary

1. If a tool can't perform a specific function on a certain manufacturer, find another one that can - every tool has its strengths and weaknesses.

2. Even if the system show "failed" during a procedure, always verify the result by checking the physical key and system registration - it may still be successful.
