The shop just replaced an used transmission for this 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK 350. I've got the connector disconnected, so what we're going to do is cloning the TCU. Here are the original transmission, Autel IM508S & XP400 Pro and the GODIAG GT105 is connected to OBD2 plug.
We've got the power coming in that cable is connected to my jump pack. I'm just using the alligator clips to connect the cable. Now using the IM508S when you go into TCU tools.
We can start by clicking the wiring diagram, it will show how to connect right here. The GODIAG has a little 120ohm resistor, so you just push the red button whenever you want to set it.
As we're all set up, let's go ahead to "Read TCU data" & "Back up coding".
We were connected to the original tranmission outside. We've got the OBD cable connected to the GODIAG.
Click "Renew TCU".
Do you want to obtain the erasure password? OK
Succeeded in calculating the erasure password? OK
We can now proceed with renewing this TCU.
So we've successfully renewed the TCU.
Write TCU Data >> Select the file of original transmission >> OK
Succeeded in writing!
Write coding >> Select the file of original transmission >> Enter VIN >> OK
Wirting coding is completed.
Go back "Read TCU Data" to make sure it wrote the VIN.
The VIN was still the same. So we have to manually write that in.
Write VIN >> Enter VIN >> OK
Succeeded in writing VIN.
Go back to check again, the VIN has been changed.
The only thing we might have to do is to activate TCU.
Click "Activate TCU".
Succeeded in activating transmission!
Let's remove the cables, reconnect the connectors. This transmission is now ready to roll.
So this is how to renew on a 2010 Mercedes GLK350 with IM508S + G-BOX3.
