How to Unlock VW Audi SFD Gateway on Autel Scanners?

This is a tutorial on how to manually unlock latest VAG SFD(Vehicle Diagnostic Protection) gateway on Autel. Workable on most Autel Automotive Diagnostic System Scanners like Ultra Lite, MK900BT, MK808S, etc. You can follow the steps in case meeting same SFD unlock problem.

 

Prompt Info:

SFD unlock is required for the current model:

1. After selecting system under the [Control unit] menu, perform unlocking via the [Security access(login)] function.

2. Without unlocking, the adaptation, basic setting, coding and other functions of some systems may fail.

How to unlock VW/Audi SFD on Autel?

Today we're going to unlock a 2024 Audi Q7 with Autel IM608 II as example. After successfully unlocking, it will let us go through the gateway.

 

Step1. Access to Unlock SFD

The current vehicle support the DoIP protocol. You can use the DoIP protocol for testing.

Press "Yes" to continue.

 

Diagnostic firewall is current active.

You must first enable access to 19 - Gateway and then disable the diagnostic firewall.

 

Unlocking status: Vehicle Diagnostic Protection(SFD) not unlocked.

Remaining time(minutes): Vehicle Diagnostic Protection(SFD) not unlocked.

Deactivation >> Manually unlock SFD

 

*Note:

Next, we'll need the unlocking request information, system and VIN numbers. So remember to copy them before going on.

Step2. Get SFD Tokens

Open the web browser to visit: vaglogins.com

Login >> Input Username & Password(Set up an account if new)

 

We do need to buy credits for the SFD gateway in the "Memberships".

Here the lowest amount is €25 for 1 time token VW.

 

Homepage >> SFD generator >> Enter the VIN number(selected options: 1 time SFD or 60min SFD) >> Activate access

It will show the VIN number that are locked, click it.

 

Paste the Login Request Info.

Enter diagnostic address: 0019

Click "Request SFD".

 

Finally, it'll give a longer SFD calculation number, Copy to Clipboard.

Step3. Unlock SFD by Tokens

Go back to the Manually unlock SFD page.

Input token >> Paste the SFD token >> Unlock SFD

We can see the "Unlocking status" is unlocked now.

SFD unlocking successful!

*The SFD unlocking 1 time gives us 90 minutes to do. If you're performing any sorts of testing and need more time, you might have to pay more tokens.
